Sheepskin Lunar Pouches

Fuzzy sheepskin pouch with a chunky brass zipper, perfect for carrying toiletries or tinctures in your larger bag, or as a small clutch. Made from sheepskins tanned and sewn by me, and a high quality brass zipper made in Switzerland. 

Approximate measurements: 8.5" w x 4.5" h x 2" d

There is one white sheepskin available with a small leather patch on the bottom (photo #7), and slightly longer dense wool, and one grey sheepskin with short kinky curls. The white bag is discounted slightly to reflect some slight bunching of the zipper fabric (see photo #6) that doesn't affect the function of the bag.

This hide is tanned with mimosa (Acacia mearnsii) tannin extract, with additional ingredients used in the process including: salt, citric acid, soap, and distilled vinegar. They are softened with sheep tallow soap, sunflower seed lecithin, and olive oil.

Because the tanning and washing process I use does not involve harsh petroleum-derived solvents, and instead mostly handwork, the wool may contain seeds or small pieces of leaves and other vegetable matter, and it may also retain a faint smell of sheep and bark. Enjoy it! To care for this hide, air it out often. You can handwash with warm water and soap and line dry, or fill your washer and allow to soak. More info on my process, cleaning & care.
